Principal’s Message
Well done to all students and staff on a wonderful Term 2! As we’ve gone from sunny days, to freezing ones, the TC community has continued to buzz with amazing learning opportunities, both within the classroom and as part of our co-curricular programs. We have had so many great events this term – the Athletics Carnival and Indigenous Games, our month of Performing Arts showcases and Community events where our colour Communities battled it out in Music, Drama, Sports and even Mario Kart! We are looking forward to our College Production of 'Legally Blonde' in Term 3!
We have also continued to implement our strong social-emotional programs, through our Connect Program, Respectful Relationships Program and through external speakers and assemblies. We continue to challenge the status quo, so that everyone is empowered to learn through advocating for a safe and inclusive school environment for all TC students and staff.
The recruitment process for the next TC Principal continues, led by the Department of Education in collaboration with TC College Council, and we hope to bring you news very soon.
Thank you everyone for your contribution to TC this term. We hope you have a wonderful and restful break and we will see you again in Term 3.
Many thanks,
Katrina Katz, Acting Principal
Peter and Sophie Ellis Farewell Party
After dedicating a combined 30 years of service to TC, Peter and Sophie Ellis are embarking on an exciting new chapter. They have relocated to Singapore, which has been a long-held dream of Peter’s. While saying goodbye is never easy, the TC community is thrilled for them as they begin this next adventure.
We couldn’t let them go without a final farewell bash, TC style! Current staff along with a few extra familiar faces, including former staff who’ve since moved on from TC, returned to celebrate and wish them well.
Student Achievements
Cheerleading - Charlotte Kranz
Congratulations to TC Grad student Charlotte who has just returned from the USA after competing in the World Cheerleading Championships with her team @mcadragons!
Charlotte has been a cheerleader at Melbourne Cheer Academy for 10 years and was thrilled to travel to Orlando, Florida to compete. Her team did exceptionally well and was awarded Best in Australia, 9th in the World, and 4th in the Nations Cup for their division! Congratulations Charlotte on such a phenomenal achievement and keep up the amazing work!
Top Scribe - Olivia Kwei
Congratulations to 2024 TC Graduate Olivia who was a part of the inaugural Top Scribe. Top Scribe 2025 celebrates original works by 2024 VCE Literature students from across Victoria by showcasing creative writing from their school assessed coursework. "Drawing on her understanding of Tim Winton's language, voice, form and structure, Olivia responded creatively to his collection of essays in Boy Behind the Curtain, composing a beautifully reflective narrative opening a window into life with her family as she continues to figure out who she is", explains her Literature teacher, Natasha. Congratulations once again Oliva, may your creative spirit continue to shine!
