VCE exam preparation timetable
As we come to the end of Unit 4 we start to shift into exam preparation mode.
Thorough exam preparation is a key component of exam success and we want all of our students sitting the exams to have the best chance possible.
One of the most direct ways we can help our students prepare is the completion of practice exams and the opportunity to get feedback on their work. Every student who is intending on sitting a VCE exam should complete at least one practice exam and get feedback on it.
Please see the Term 3 holiday trial exams timetable below.

TC Reconciliation Action Group Update
The TC RAP group met before school last Wednesday and used the time to reflect on how the city protests impacted 'Camp Sovereignty' in Narm, Melbourne and how this must have affected our local Indigenous community. We reflected on how these violent acts are perceived in the media and how much damage these actions by a few taint our city and undo the work many of us do towards reconciliation. We shared hopes for the future and discussed ways that we can proactively embed TC's inclusivity statement and reconciliation statements to share a message of peace, acceptance and tolerance of difference, and promote curiosity and critical thinking in our young people so they can proactively process the information they are exposed to and make informed judgements.
Meg Bailey
In this week’s RAP meeting we discussed current events, where Camp Sovereignty, a sacred Indigenous Australian land created for gathering, healing, community events, and insightful conversations, was attacked, and the people there were also harmed. This opened a discussion about how the media has portrayed this act of violence, often highlighting those who use their voices to spread hateful messages. I feel this type of highlighting makes it seem as though the entire country shares these views, as the negative voices overpower all others.
Sharing this view and having discussions with the other members made me much more hopeful, as we brainstormed ways to improve empathy within the school community, promote anti-racist values, and contribute positively to students’ understanding of reconciliation. We shared ideas for activities and events that could be implemented within the school. \
I really enjoy being a member of this team. I find it not only beneficial but also a great opportunity to do something to fight against the growing hate. To do something for my community and the wider community, I really suggest anyone interested should get involved.
Dara Cucos (Student Leader - Green Community)
I always look forward to the opportunity to connect with the other RAP group members and discuss ways we can make a positive difference towards reconciliation as a school community. Like many meetings at TC, the contributions of students, parents, staff, and First Nations community members brings a diverse range of perspectives. I learn so much each meeting and come away with food for thought and actions to further the work towards meaningful reconciliation within the scope of our roles as educators.
After recent events including the terrible attack on Camp Sovereignty, the group was eager to reaffirm our values and aspirations as a school to be a safe and supportive place for all. We especially wanted to express our commitment to celebrating the rich cultural diversity of our school community and recommit to our Diversity and Reconciliation Vision statements.
🌐 Please read our Reconciliation Vision statement here: https://tc.vic.edu.au/reconciliation-action-plan
The group noted that the loud and often hateful voices do not reflect the majority, however young people in particular are vulnerable to messaging on social and mainstream media. Part of our work at school is to teach intercultural understanding, critical evidence-based thinking, media literacy, and respectful ways of debate and disagreement to foster vibrant public discussion. Racism is not part of this picture and is not welcome in our school community.
Our school wellbeing services and community teams are always available to support any students who are concerned or upset by recent events. If you would like to find out more about or join our Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, please email Ryan Griffith RGR@tc.vic.edu.au
