Graduation Celebration Day

On Thursday 23 October TCโ€™s Class of 2025 was officially celebrated with a full-school graduation assembly, marking the end of their high school journey and the beginning of whatever comes next. ๐ŸŽ‰ The event kicked off at 9:10 a.m., filling the hall with students, teachers, and families ready to cheer on our grads one last time. ๐Ÿ‘

Assistant Principal Darren Irvine opened the morning with a few words (and a little bit of housekeeping), followed by a heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country from Imogen Zanatta. Then came one of the Grad bands, lighting up the room with their performance of One Directionโ€™s โ€œDrag Me Downโ€, the perfect, chaotic anthem for the day. ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽค

Of course, one of the biggest moments was hearing from our 2025 School Captains. ๐Ÿ†
Will Genat reminded everyone that โ€œevery single student at this school has the ability to succeed,โ€ saying how proud he was to have represented TC and โ€œrevelled in being part of the drama.โ€ Abby Dearman spoke about how โ€œTC is a place where the teachers encourage us to challenge the status quo,โ€ and Em Cormack shared a quote from Winston Churchill: โ€œSuccess is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.โ€ Finally, Tya Robinson left everyone with a bit of inspiration: โ€œSay yes to opportunities and challenges, itโ€™s how you grow and gain new experiences.โ€ ๐ŸŒŸ

Then came the iconic Grad roll call, where each student got their moment to shine before the always-hilarious costume awards took over. ๐ŸŽญ The crowd went wild for appearances from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Pitbull, and more. ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿถ๐ŸŽถ The grad video brought back all the memories, laughs, chaos, and all the best bits from the past year, and student awards wrapped up the formalities with well-deserved recognition for achievements in academics, leadership, and community spirit. ๐Ÿ…

Principal Daryl Bennett closed things out with a message of pride and hope, congratulating the Class of 2025 for making it through the past thirteen years with resilience, humour, and a whole lot of heart. ๐Ÿ’–

And of course, it wouldnโ€™t be graduation without Muck-Up Day. ๐Ÿคช This yearโ€™s crew delivered, turning up in full costume, pulling off harmless pranks, and filling the school with laughter (and a bit of glitter). โœจ

As the Class of 2025 steps into the next chapter, both the graduation assembly and Muck-Up Day were the perfect send-off, a mix of chaos, nostalgia, and pride that sums up TC perfectly. ๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations, grads. You did it. ๐Ÿฅณ

Grad Celebration Night at Northcote Theatre

The Northcote Theatre came alive on 23 October as the Class of 2025 gathered with their families, friends and TC staff to celebrate one of the most memorable milestones of their school journey. ๐ŸŽ“โœจ Grad Celebration Night was more than just an eventโ€”it was a heartfelt tribute to years of effort, resilience, learning and growth. ๐Ÿ’™

From the moment guests stepped through the doors, there was an unmistakable atmosphere of pride and excitement. Students arrived dressed to impress, sharing smiles ๐Ÿ˜„, laughter ๐Ÿ˜‚, and stories as the theatre filled with a warm sense of community. The Art Deco-style venue itself provided the perfect backdrop, with its beautiful lighting and vibrant energy helping set the tone for an evening dedicated to achievement and connection. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ›๏ธ

In the relaxed format, teachers and staff were able to mingle with Grads and their guests, sharing reflections on the studentsโ€™ journey, celebrating not only what they have achieved, but who they have become. ๐Ÿค

Families and friends played an important role in the festivities as well, cheering proudly ๐Ÿ“ฃ, capturing memories ๐Ÿ“ธ, and celebrating the hard work behind each studentโ€™s success. The joy on their faces matched the enthusiasm of the graduates themselves, making the night truly feel like a collective triumph. ๐Ÿฅณ

As the evening drew to a close, it was clear that Grad Celebration Night had become more than a ceremonyโ€”it was a moment to honour community, friendship, and the bright future awaiting every member of the Class of 2025. ๐ŸŒŸ

Congratulations to our TC graduates! ๐ŸŽ“ Your achievements have made us incredibly proud, and we canโ€™t wait to see where your journey leads next. ๐Ÿ’™

TC Staff vs Grads futsal game

In an exciting match, the staff team was up early, piling on the goals. But things took a turn (for the worse, from this staff author's opinion), with the students clawing their way back in the second half๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜…

A last-minute equaliser took the game to extra timeโฑ๏ธ, then a last-minute winner ensured eternal glory for the Grad Futsal team ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ†โ€” what a come from behind victory!๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ
